Environmentaly Friendly
We believe in the age-old cycle of nature and our products are developed with this belief in mind.
- All natural waxes used are biodegradable and sourced from old and sustainably managed plantations or farms and are free from GM-organisms. We do not support the destruction of the rainforest or similar natural wildlife areas in order to create room for new plantations or farms.
- All papers & cardboards used are biodegradable, recyclable and sourced from sustainably managed forests, e.g. PEFC certified. For further information, please refer to the website www.pefc.org
- All plastics used are biodegradable and recyclable.
- All of our fragrances are biodegradable and non-toxic to the aquatic environment.
- All ribbons used are made either from cotton or cellulose.
- We intend to make our offices and the manufacture of all of our products carbon-neutral as soon as possible. We produce in the EU to reduce our carbon footprint from long distance transport.
Safety
We believe it is irresponsible and in some cases illegal that a large part of the fragranced candles available in the market are either carcinogenic, toxic or that their fragrances do not comply with European Safety Directives.
- All of our fragrances comply with the latest and strictes European Product Safety Directives and they are IFRA/RIFM compliant.
- Our candles are not carcinogenic, e.g. we only use 100% cotton wicks, without cores or filaments made from metal or lead.
- We only use non-toxic components, such as lead-free crystal and waxes that contain less than 10 ppm of sulphur
- Even natural, organic waxes or beeswax can be polluted with pharmaceutica, insecticided and pesticides (e.g. from neighbouring fields). All our beeswax has been tested to guarantee it is free from traces of pharmaceutica, insecticides and peticides.

Ethical
It is sad when a gift has been produced exploiting cheap labour, non-existing environmental or manufacturing safety requirements in 3rd world countries.
- Our products are made in the European Union, except when goods are unavailable.
- In manufacturing our products, we guarantee that no child labour is being used, humane working conditions and hours are provided and that no discrimination is practiced.
