Pairfum Pantone Living Coral Colour Year 2019 Patch
The Pantone Colour of the year 2019 has been revealed as “Living Coral”.
Here you can read the official announcement by Pantone.
Description
How can it be described in words? Is it a warm pink & orange hue, a muted terracotta or a pastel desert? Or, is it all of these in one?
Is was presented as a “life-affirming” colour for consumers wishing to escape from the “onslaught” of social media and digital technology. We as consumers react to this by seeking more authentic and intimate experiences.
“Colour is an equalising lens through which we experience our natural and digital reality and this is particularly true for Living Coral,” said Leatrice Eiseman (Executive Director at the Pantone Color Institute).
“With consumers craving human interaction and social connection, the humanising and heartening qualities displayed by the convivial Pantone Living Coral hit a responsive chord.”
“It represents a feeling that’s out there in the zeitgeist.”
Reading this, it seems the world is calmer and happier than it appears in the news.
On the other hand, it might be the opposite. Maybe we crave a colour that is natural, solid and warm when times are troubled.
To us, here at Pairfum, this colour promises a combination of these words:
holiday in paradise,
natural and yet sophisticated,
positive and life affirming,
soft, warm but still fresh,
safe at home but ready to escape.
Pantone Colour of the Year 2018 & 2017
Last year we had “Ultra Violet” and in 2017 Pantone had presented “Greenery”. Two colours that we translated into perfume here at Pairfum London, with these two fragrances:
Black Orchid
Neroli Olive
How do we translate “Living Coral” into a fragrance?
We believe we already introduced a fragrance in 2018 in our collection that perfectly encapsulates the ‘zeitgeist’ of “Living Coral”:
Pink Grapefruit
Here is the fragrance description:
“A vibrant Pink Grapefruit fragrance with the added complexity of Mandarine, Lime and Bergamot.
Floral notes of Jasmin and Lily lend a feminine touch.
Deep sophistication comes from a Sandalwood Accord in the base note”
What do you think of this Perfume to match the Pantone Colour of the Year 2019?
Below is the olfactive triangle for this beautiful note.
When the weather is getting cold & wet, our minds are drifting off to our last vacation.
Here at Pairfum, we have a wonderful fragrance for this type of ‘olfactive’ or ‘mind’ travelling: SPA
We have all experienced how perfume can bring memories that we treasure and the fragrance ‘SPA’ can send you back (or forward) to the last time you were swimming in an infinity pool, lounged beside the pool or floated in the ocean.
Below is a description of your next ‘olfactive’ vacation with SPA by Pairfum.

“I was struck by the strength and sense of compassion for the community embodied by The Toledo Museum of Art.
I really wanted this artwork to showcase the incredible community work which exists within and without the walls of the Museum.
Local groups and volunteers will come together to help my team and I to cut, press, wire and hang thousands of locally grown flowers to stamp Toledo’s indelible mark on this work.
The 10,000 local plants which we’ll use in the artwork will be returned to the local community (minus the flowers) still very much alive and ready to flower again in the future.
My artwork is for sharing. I make these installations to enable people to interact with nature, to give time to observe and be moved by the beauty of creation.”
Now, … the question of ‘How to Perfume Shoes?’ goes ‘hand in hand’ ( or should it be ‘foot in hand’… ) with ‘Smelly Shoes’ in your home.
I know, it does not sound beautiful ( and here at Pairfum we are about beautiful Artisan Perfumes ) – but sadly ‘smelly shoes’ are a reality of life, which is why we believe that a solution to this issue will be welcomed by all.
Below you can see the two solutions we have for you!
1 – The Shoe as a Floral Bouquet
The New York based artist Mr. Flower Fantastic has turned sneakers into floral bouquets.
This is the incredible artist, that turned the Serena Williams’ air max 97 into a floral masterpiece during the US open.
If you please excuse us for the pun- but this anonymous artist, has the whiff of a Banksy about him …
He has made a name for combining Floristry, Sculpture and some people’s must have sneakers, into a Shoe-Bouquet.
It is a fantastic arrangement of buds of varying colours and sizes in the form of an item so familiar to us as footwear.
He uses roses, tulips, orchids, lilies, carnations and a variety of other flowers from across the World: from the Caribbean, the Middle-East and Holland, to North and South America.
These truly amazing artistic creations, would certainly insure that you have ‘wonderfully’ Smelly Shoes – in the nicest possible way …
2 – Fabric Spray for Shoes
On the other hand, if like most of the general population, you have neither the talent, time or money to employ this Shoe Perfuming technique, …
These sprays are designed to be used on fabrics, they will cause no damage, are long lasting and the natural alcohol used is an excellent disinfectant.
You simply take one of our beautiful Flacon bottles, and spray once or twice into the inside of the shoe.
The nozzle on the bottle is designed to create a very fine mist to cover the inside of the shoe evenly and finely.
You are then ready to slip on your shoes, and meet the day feeling refreshed from head to toe, ….
In Life it is nice to have choices and if you are rushing to get the kids & or yourself out to work & School in the morning, …
(you know the story)
No matter how beautiful Mr. Flower Fantastic’ Smelly Shoes Bouquets are,
we are here to help make it easier to have you and your Family’s Shoes Smelling like Roses
What would be your Top Ten Best Scents For Christmas?
At PAIRFUM London we think that It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas!
Would it be the smell of a fresh batch of Nutmeg, Cinnamon & Orange cookies straight from the oven?
Or, how about the scent of a wood fire crackling in the hearth?
Maybe it is the fresh green pine scent of a a real Christmas tree?
How about roasted chestnuts, I am not sure how many families still do this at home, but no Christmas fair is complete without them?
For the Bakers among us it may be the Christmas cake and or Christmas pudding
“Oranges and lemons, Say the bells of St. Clement’s”, but for some people “Oranges and cloves” say Christmas
Gingerbread for all the bakers and the decorators(cakes that is) in all of us, decorating gingerbread cookies and or houses have become a tradition for many.
Peppermint, well it must be a favourite as even Santa loves handing out candy canes, at every corner.
We could not have a – Top Ten Best Scents For Christmas – and not include Mulled Wine..
As Perfumers we would also add the smell of a crisp, bright winters day…
We all have different memories of the holidays, some will recall those same positive feelings from simply experiencing the same scents, sounds or sights. For those of you starting your own family, it is the perfect time to create new memories & create your own traditions to add to the Christmas Story.
So however or wherever you plan to celebrate the festive season, we here at PAIRFUM wish you a Happy, Healthy, Holiday.
